Xudong is a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the Energy and Sustainability Thrust Lead at the Grainger Institute for Engineering. A pioneer in the nanogenerator field, he is one of the co-inventors of the patented technology on which EWPanel’s sensors are based. His research interests also include the study and growth of oxide nanomaterials and understanding the coupling between semiconductor properties and piezoelectric charge displacement.
Lazarus is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the advisement of Prof. Wang. His research interests materials that harvest low-level mechanical energy (e.g. foot steps) into electricity. He joined EWPanel in July 2019 to kickoff and lead the research efforts under a Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer grant awarded by the National Science Foundation. His other research interests are in the study and growth of oxide nanomaterials used in solar-aided chemical cells.
